I've been enjoying my three day weekend by borrowing some books from the library to my kindle, and my favorite so far is Paper Towns by John Green.  Recently John Green has been my favorite author because all of his books have just recently become popular and I've read a bunch of them within the last month.  Also John Green is just a fantastically cool person, and if you don't believe me just read this quote.
"The test will measure whether you are an informed, engaged, and productive citizen of the world, and it will take place in schools and bars and hospitals and dorm rooms and in places of worship. You will be tested on first dates, in job interviews, while watching football, and while scrolling through your Twitter feed. The test will judge your ability to think about things other than celebrity marriages, whether you’ll be easily persuaded by empty political rhetoric, and whether you’ll be able to place your life and your community in a broader context. The test will last your entire life, and it will be comprised of the millions of decisions that, when taken together, will make your life yours. And everything, everything, will be on it."

He's basically a genius. Plus his books are so interesting. Paper Towns is about two neighbors.  One, Margo, is very popular, and the other, Quentin, or Q is not.  After Margo goes missing Q feels responsible to find her, so he follow's her string of crazy clues.  This book is less about romance and more about finding yourself which appealed to me because it is so profoundly different than most teen novels.  I have also read Looking for Alaska, The Fault in our Stars and An Abundance of Katherines by John Green, and all of them are just as enticing and enthralling as this one.  I would highly recommend ANY of John Green's novels to anyone and everyone.
xoxo.
